Dear TCA Patron:
The Board of Directors, during the November 2007, meeting, altered the timing in scheduling the nomination and election process for service on the Board. The nomination and selection for the 2008, Board elections will begin in February and culminate with the election of the candidates in April.
The new time line for the 2008, nomination and selection process is as follows:
February 12: nomination forms mailed to members
February 26: deadline for nominations to be returned
March 2: nominees determined
March16- 18: election packets mailed to members
April 8: deadline for ballots to be returned
April 22: Membership Meeting, election results announced
Please know that the Board in altering the timing of the nomination and selection process has not changed or altered the MembershipsÂ’ ability to nominate and elect a member of their choosing to the Board. Only the timing of those elections has been changed.
We, as a Board, determined to make this change for several reasons. First and foremost was to afford any newly elected member time to become familiar with the workings of both the Board and the school during the summer months when the pace of activity is much less. Additionally school publications such as the handbook will be available with up to date information when school begins in the fall.
